No, this is not about Digg’s users rebellion over 16-digit HD DVD code, this is about “slash-and-burn” mentality of taking over Digg. Take a look at this link Reward Digg by Clicking Buttloads of Ads. You will find a lot of good old “Yo ho ho” spirit in this call to generate fraud clicks to reward Digg for capitulating to mob:

Okay diggers, time to show some love for the Digg crew for coming to its senses and sticking up for its users. Let’s all disable adblock for just this one day and show Kevin and the gang some ad-clicky love. Yesterday we rang the bell damn loudly, so now let’s give em a treat to create a reflexive instinct to defend rather than crap on diggers.

This demonstration of ad-clicky love is not going to make advertisers happy - this is clear and loud violation of advertiser’s TOS. We have sent email to Digg and CC to AdSense with request to delete link and ban users. Yes, we ratted them out.

P.S. Apparently Digg crew has recovered some control - Digg deleted the link and banned “ad-clicky” user.
